Can we pretend,
for once everything was fine,
you filled the room with laughter,
and i filled it with mine,
nothing more softer,
than the palm of your hand in mine,
Can we pretend,
every time you went away, the usual path, could never seemed longer
the flowers cried, and the crickets wept,
I didn't shed a tear,though I've never been stronger,
With a head bowed down. i walk, and the emotions they crept.
can we pretend,
the sand dunes stopped shifting, and in the sky a visible Saturn,
and far into the sea, the fishes stopped swimming, and ships stopped sailing,
the sun parted and fell into space, vowing to never return,
Heartbroken,that it's call to you,were unavailing,
can we pretend,
kings of kings knelt down,
defeated by a war so fair, just, and to be set apart,
The tyranny of the tyrant ended, with the fall of a blood soaked crown,
to be worn by the simple man,who had you in his heart.
Can we pretend,
just for you,the birds flew north,
and bee's stopped flying,
Before the sandy beaches, the waves stopped short,
And of milky tears, the galaxy was crying.
Can we pretend,
that the wind would be immobile, and the raindrops stationary,
and the greatest leap we'd do,is the one back in time,
when our goodbyes, the breeze would carry,
and letting go,would be the biggest crime.
can we pretend,
when you return,I'll wait by the dusty oak tree,
yes,the one that looked over our endless banter, skinned knees, and all the tears,
For one day,my liberated soul, set free,
Assisted by all the heavenly angels,we'll meet yonder.amid their echoing cheers...
............................LA fin...............................................
now go away!.
