The tale of a heart

Why do we yearn for someone?
like how the desert yearns for rain,
stoically we wait for a passing miracle,
to envelope us with loving warmth,

Like a cold wintry day,
A sullen breeze brushes your skin,
reminding you of what use to be,
injustice of sorts,as cold as that breeze,

your insides let out a hollow scream,
wanting to claw itself out,
wanting to rise like a majestic phoenix,
Out of the ashes,of past memories,

Your steps are as heavy as the burden you shoulder,
like you're underwater,drowning,gasping for air,
you grow weaker, with every breath that leaves you,
Those frigid thoughts leaves you lifeless, it leaves you broken,

But every nightmare has it's ending,
you're tears getting warmer every time you think about it,
But no tears will ever erase the memories of past wrongs,
but they do say,
it's always the darkest before dawn..

As the river of despair flows in you,
Eventually drying leaving a trench so deep,
As your tears eventually stop pouring,
You finally know, that tomorrow is a new day,

As the raindrops fall around you,
crystal clear as your thoughts itself,
it immerses you in euphoric sensations,
one that you thought, had escaped you years before,

So,the tale was told about a broken heart,
It patched itself up painstakingly, part by part,
it learnt how to smile, with all the emotions it felt,
and a prayer it whispered,as it slowly knelt,.
