city under siege

The lights go dim..dimmer and finally after a faint flicker, they die.almost simultaneously..like brave soldier's on their last breath, dropping to their knee's as their bodies go limp..The streets go quiet..almost too quiet..A midnight wind, blows almost hauntingly..taunting any inhabitants,to make a sound.daring them to make a move.their final move..

The sons of the dark come out...they feed on fear.the world is their playground..and man, their playthings..When the unlucky gets tangled in a web of menace, stuck to the threads of lies. The sons shall thrive.for when man sin, they harvest their fruits of labour...The rotten fruits of hate.sowed by the seeds,of sin.The seeds only man are capable of creating.for the world was once pure..now polluted beyond repair..But man shall never take blame.for he believes he is the saviour,of a race he has already destroyed..the conceited facade, layered with a distorted sense of pride..about something he knows nothing about..yet thinks he knows everything about..,

The perfect fodder, for the sons of the dark.nothing sweeter, than the dreams of a wayward soul..for one day,man shall awaken, eternities late..regretting that very day, when he just stood and watched..as his city crumbled into dust..a legacy in tatters.for man did nothing,on that fateful day, when the sons came marching in.

Numbly he sat, tears streaming down.woefully watching from a dark corner, watching and watching,as every last brick came crashing down, from the city he built with his own two hands,a city held by his sweat, blood and tears....
And to be forever engraved in his mind, the day he did nothing, when his city was under siege..
