Well yesterday i went to tawau to sell the family car.while on the way, about 35km from Lahad datu,i kinda saw a flurry of activity just up ahead on the road.a substantial number of firetrucks overtook me,and there was a whole bunch of cop cars beside the road.so as any malaysian driver would do,i slowed down to a snail's pace expecting something real bad.but what i saw totally caught me off guard.so here's the deal,an express bus was in a ravine, and apparently a lorry was too..and beside the road, lay a badly damaged van and a car.or what ever that was left of it to be more exact..
here's the thing, when you can't recognise the make of a car after an accident, you know it has to be bad..The car seemed to have lost it's form..just a flattened piece of metal, with wheels sticking by it's side...as i neared the scene,i could see a bunch of gurneys being wheeled about by the paramedics.and on the ground, lay bodies all covered up..I don't know.for that moment, everything just seemed so so sad..6 people lost their lives in that accident,as reported in the news today..3 in the van,1 in the car(perodua viva apparently),and 2 in the lorry..Somewhere out there,a family has lost a loved one..I just can't imagine the amount of heartache involved..When everyone is rejoicing for raya,a family has to suffer a bleak one, with the passing of a loved one.seeing the bodies laying there lifeless, did strike a chord deep down..How could someone, ever expect that fine day would be their last, when they woke up from bed that morning.i guess, for some crazy reason,it's a blessing of sorts for people to not possess any powers of premonition.
just pray, their souls find a resting place...rest in peace, you all are remembered..
